“I Am”
Sam Hollingshead
I am warmhearted as a friend, neighbor and stanger, and I am confident with my thoughts and my tasks
I wonder if peace will ever be found in our closed door world
I hear the balmy singing of a viola string, as my bow is confidently lifted off of it after a challenging piece of music
I want the world to realize its differences and make peace from those differences
I am warmhearted as a friend, neighbor and stanger, and I am confident with my thoughts
and my tasks
I pretend that the coronavirus is gone, although it always lurks in the shadows of my thoughts
I feel the balmy hugs on my frigid cheeks from the wind while I stand at the beach
I touch the wishbone with thanks on Thanksgiving Day, when I give my family wishes of good luck
I worry about coronavirus plaguing the earth right now
I cry when an injury sneaks up behind be and attacks, like a lion jumps on their prey
I am warmhearted as a friend, neighbor and stanger, and I am confident with my thoughts
and my tasks
I understand that we all don’t enjoy one another, but we need to have respect
I say working hard is a primary key to opening a thick door
I dream about being a strong leader, helping others when they need my help
I try new foods confidently, like a person trying on their shoes
I hope that we have a coronavirus vaccine to put out this burning fire spreading rapidly
I am warmhearted as a friend, neighbor and stanger, and I am confident with my thoughts
and my tasks
